Multi-Sport Athletics camp is geared towards children who enjoy competing in a variety of athletics and want instruction in their overall techniques for each sport. Our highly qualified staff is composed of certified teachers, coaches, and college student-athletes. Campers will be divided into age appropriate teams and participate in Baseball, Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, and Volleyball. In addition, campers will also compete in non-traditional sports such as Ultimate Frisbee, Team Handball, and Kan Jam. The daily schedule will consist of four periods of different sports, lunch, and one period of swimming. Sports will vary throughout the week. Young athletes will build a base for future participation and success with a focus on improving teamwork, sportsmanship, and individual skills. A positive self-image in the world of athletics is the goal. Open to girls and boys ages 7 through 13.
What to Bring
Every camper should wear comfortable athletic shoes, shorts, and a T-shirt. Bathing suit and towel will be needed for swim.
Program Director: Phil Ciccone
Phil Ciccone returns for his third summer as the director of Multi-Sport Athletics. Coach Ciccone has a MS in Education from Pace University and a MS in Physical Education from Adelphi University. Coach Ciccone was a stand-out Division I baseball player at Pace University and still ranks amongst the career best in doubles, hits, and RBI's. As a Physical Education teacher in the Bedford Central School District Coach Ciccone developed the Sports Leadership Program and currently coaches for both the Baseball and Cross Country Program.
